A man enjoying a cigar waits for his bus in front of Constitution Plaza in downtown Hartford. Jack shoots with a long telephoto lens from across Old Statehouse Square. The man senses Jack's activity, but continues reading his newspaper. Downtown Hartford is about ten square blocks in size. In a half-hour you can easily cover most of it. Yet each time Jack goes downtown to shoot, he seldom walks more than a block or two before finding that something grabs his attention to shoot. Over a five-year period of time he puts together a collection of work titled A Walk Down Main Street. He follows that a few years later with a collection of neighborhood photography titled A Walk Down Park Street.
