Jack pauses to photograph a homeless man wearing a wool cap who sits near the Main Street crosswalk in downtown Hartford. The man asks Jack to send a copy of the photograph to his mother in North Carolina, who hasn't heard from him in many years. He writes his address on a candy wrapper. Jack spends weeks trying to find the man again to let him know his request was filled and to give him a copy of the photograph.
