Bio / Resume

Alan Chaniewski. A photojournalist for the past 32 years. I am currently Chief Videographer at The Hartford Courant newspaper in Hartford, Connecticut. Most of my videos can be seen on their website at http://www.courant.com/. On occasion I manage to dust off my still camera and fire off a few photos about my favorite subjects and hobbies that can be seen at http://www.ctcameraeye.com.

I am also a member of the Astronomical Society of New Haven, based at the Yale University’s observing site in Bethany, Ct. I do astrophotography, specializing in Solar Astrophotography. I also do public outreach star parties, as well as astro education classes for any age group. Many of my astro photos can been seen at their website at http://www.asnh.org.
